2014 review in pictures

November is marking its territory.  Germany is covered in all kinds of  grey. It’s windy, it’s rainy, it’s cold, candles are burning. It’s time to let the mind wander of to sweet summer memories. Wrapped in a blanked on my large couch, I indulged myself in the pictures we have taken throughout the year – it lightened my mood. Maybe it’ll do the same for you. Enjoy the journey!

Danish Sailing Championship – Århus 2014 – Day 1

The finale of the danish national sailing championship “Sejlsportsligaen“- a new league founded just this year – was taking place along the shore of the Århus in the last two days. Asides the clubs fighting over the danish trophy in J70s, several other sailors have fought over the honor of being best in their class in parallel.
The danish Seascape 18 chapter was participating aside of H-boats, Folkeboats, Melges 24, J80, Scan-cap, CB66, Yngling, Spækhugger and Drage.

Jochen Denkena, head of the German Seascape chapter, has been asked to compete. I had the honor to join his crew along with his son Ben.

Putting her to a test!

Two fun days with Jochen, Moritz and Markus at sea. Jochen, who is leading the German Seascape 18 chapter, asked via Gregor from Biehlmarin if he could test-drive my Seascape 27.

An experienced sailor joining on me my boat … ? No  need to ask twice. Finally a chance to show my Gennaker to world and expand my skill set. To top it off, Jochen brought his motorboat to take videos and pics from the outside!

Summertime

What a summer … air temperature 28°C. Sunny all day, for days now. It’s been said that Germans tent to complain. I must think really hard to find anything to complain about right now. Well, it’s too hot to stay in the sun for more than an hour. But then again our swimming pool is just a step way 🙂
