Hanseboot Ancora Boat Show was on last weekend with perfect sunny weather conditions. It’s a nice feeling “to visit” an exhibition whilst living right into the middle of it. We went sailing for a few hours to return to trouble later and enjoy a grilled sausage and a beer with live music right next to our boat for 2 full days.
Our highlight, the Wasserschutzpolizei. They have a program together with Pantenius insurance to mark valuable items such as engines, navigational instruments etc. A serial number is carved into each part to discourage from theft.
Everything is marked now, so don’t even thing about it! In case you are a thief reading this blog which I believe to be highly unlikely.
I was hoping to get some more equipment and other useful things though. In particular, I was looking for an up to date version of the book “Ankern in Dänemark” – Book with many pages about good anchorage spots written by Gerti and Harm Klausen in 1988. Unfortunately Delius Klasing could not offer anything comparable. Maybe it’s time to create an updated version by myself. Some spots for the 8 days trip with 3 of my dear friends next weekend could come in handy.
We’ve looked at the new Elan 360, a fine boat. Good talks with visitors and exhibitors. I always like meeting new people but other than that nothing out of the ordinary.
