Neptune Sailing Accessories

Let me introduce you to our new family members from Hanseboot Shopping Tour

Hanseboot Shopping

  • “Drinki”: Neptune Drinkbag – have your bottles and cans safely at hand in your cockpit by wire mounting it onto your stern pulpit – my personal favorite
  • “Wibeg”: 2xNeptune winch handle bags
  • “Robeg”: 2x Neptune big rope bags with handy pocket at the front
  • “Heizi”: Keeps you warm in cold nights – compact portable ceramic heater from AWN. I paid 49€ at AWN, the same product (as far as I call tell) just without the AWN logo was sold for 69€ at the next booth – saving 20€ for having an additional AWN logo – fine with me 🙂
  • “Ropi”: 50 meter mooring ropes (2x 10m; 2x 15m). I paid 2,99 € / meter. Really good stuff for a very good price. No break out for No.14 now
  • “Silvia”: A steering and bearing compass. I decided to rely mainly on electronic navigation. Thus I only needed a backup. I think the SILVA 70UN will just serve perfectly. It’s got a wall mount and you can simply take it out to determine a bearing.
  • “Ticki:” Wireless and solar-powered electronics providing wind- and boatspeed, depth, water temperature from TackTick (T108).

Exhibition discount was usually around 15%. Very good savings especially with the TackTick set, I paid 1.512€ instead of the retail price of 1.779€ or internet price 1.599€. Also, I really like the Neptune bags. You can just stick them to your boat, no need for screws or hole drilling. They are all equipped with hook-and-loop fasteners, so you can easily take them inside when leaving your boat until the next trip. I haven’t heard of this company before but I’ll for sure buy more of their stuff.

It felt good to buy something that I could actually touch and not have to wait for 18 months to delivery.

There is only a few things I didn’t get – then again, there is still time:

  • A proper IPad case (shock- and waterproof)
  • Anchor (I do not have a 18 tonne ship … I still need an anchor, so please start selling something below 100kg)
  • Cushion fender
  • Walkie-talkie (I could have gotten one, but I was to exhausted an running out of time)
