Finally norðri is out of the water and prepared for a good winter sleep.
It took us two days of work, dedication and taking notes. Quite a lot to do actually until the boat is ready to be put away. Mainly relaxing work with sunshine in our faces. The most exciting part was taking the mast down. Though not heavy, not really handy either. Good for us, we managed without breaking anything. To ease the assembly next year, have taken lots of reference pictures. I might even write some sort of assembly instructions and share with you guys later.

Aluminum Trailer for Seascape 27
Now it’s time to get the boat back in shape. Few things needs working on over the winter time. Few repairs to be done. Improvements to be made.
- The nice carbon turned into a whitish / greyish shade over the season, apparently Epoxy whitening due to the sun. It will be polished and re-varnished over the winter.
- I need to fix the GRP coating that spalled of when I screwed up berthing in Grömitz.
- Loads of washing, cleaning and drying.
- The initial engine bracked was to weak, Seascape has send a new one that needs assembling.
- Some har-line cracks at the pushpit need to be checked. Apparently the structure does not support the weight when using the bathing ladder.
- Find a better solution with the 6 hp engine. The small outboard does not like to be placed on the side in heavy water, as a result it’ll not start unless you pull your lungs out. Seascape and Bielmarin are already working on a solution.
- Some minor things inside like one of the bag hangers fell off, the glue keeping the doors at the frame joint couldn’t resits the temperatures and liquified.
- Adding sail slides to the main and reinforce the mast as required.
- Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
